At 52, I spent my first year out of college living in Japan. I learned to appreciate good green tea and the health benefits that it would provide. Ever since then I have used a green tea extract and i wanted to try out this brand. I’ll be cautious to overly impart every benefit I’m about to state to the green tea but I am very clear on a few. Taking a multivitamin regimen daily for several decades, Additionally as a free radical scavenger, at 52 I would say I’m in the best shape of my life with a low body fat index and commonly commented as looking younger for my age. Of course this is a combination of multiple lifestyle components and genetics, and not just taking a magic pill, but having used this as long as I have, it is a daily go-to for life.

In 2019 an article was published in the New England Journal of Medicine detailing a small study wherein EGCG was used to treat pulmonary fibrosis. The results were remarkable. Of the 20 participants most had no progression in their disease, some even had improvement in their lung function. My husband was diagnosed with this disease in 2017 and after reading the NEJM article, he started taking 2 EGCG capsules each morning. He is feeling better than he did in 2017. His pulmonary function test results have improved as well. He doesn’t take any of the other medications often used to slow the PF symptoms.

I started with 1 capsule a day for about a week and then increased to 2 capsules per day
EGCG:
– Fights inflammation
– Supports heart health
– Helps protect the brain
– Supports a healthy metabolism
I feel better taking them and I can’t say that about all my other supplements. I like not having to drink so much tea each day too! Great product.
I’m not crazy about drinking green tea, but was doing it for the health benefits. I’ve been taking these capsules for 3 weeks now and really like them. Start out taking just 1 capsule a day to see how your body reacts and then gradually increase to 2 capsules a day. Taking more than 800mg of EGCG can be dangerous but the 1,200 mg (2 capsules) with 45% EGCG equates to 540 mg of EGCG, which is a good, safe amount to take.

This is the real thing i opened one of the capsules and dumped the powder onto a spoon. Then I tasted it. HOLY COW was it bitter! 🙂 That’s EXACTLY what you want in a green tea extract.
