i recently just started drinking matcha about a month ago and have been hooked ever since. but i soon realized that this slight addition can be expensive so i wanted to find a matcha i could make at home. this shazai matcha latte does just the trick for me. it’s already sweetened so i don’t add any sugar besides a splash of vanilla, and whip cream to top it off.
I 100% recommend this product for anyone who’s starting to make matcha at home, and wants to find something similar to those pricey starbucks drinks.

I bought different matcha in the past and always struggled with making it & it tasting good, until this one.
Massive pros/takeaways:
1. It’s just the right amount of sweet— unlike coffee or other, you don’t need to add any sweetener to this to make it taste good. It even tastes good with unsweetened almond milk, and it’s only 15 cals per serving. Being on a diet, this is a massive win.
2. Amount/size: I never drank matcha often, but I’ve been running through this bag, had it for about 2.5 months and almost out (that’s fast for me, few cups a week). But it’s the right amount because you can tell it’s starting to oxidize (not meaning it’s bad, just browning in color). So it’s the perfect bagged amount for me before buying and opening another fresh bag.
3. BUY THE SIFTER. This is a GAME CHANGER. The same brand sells a sifter and matcha brush thingy— I had no idea this was the difference between easily mixing matcha and clumpy impossible matcha. BUY THE SIFTER. (After sifting, there are some chunkier matcha particles left, just dump them on top, they mix easily once the hot water is on it.)
4. The ENERGY I get from this is PERFECT. It brings up my energy to the right amount in a soft & consistent way, not a spike then crash. I can feel my brain working better. It’s been pivotal for my mid-afternoon slump. A huge part of that is green tea is great for boosting the brain, but also because it’s not overly caffeinated, and even more so, it’s not overly sugared (which makes me crash from most coffee lattes).

I’ve been drinking high quality, expensive matcha and I felt bad about using that for lattes and I like this brand for other teas so I thought I would try it. It is really good. Not the bright green of an expensive “ceremonial” matcha but it has a really good flavor and it is organic shade grown matcha and I think it’s the real deal for the price and quality. Definitely a good product if what you are looking for is to make lattes or put in smoothies so you can save the expensive stuff for a higher purpose.

I like this Matcha tea and it’s fullness of color! Taste great without having or putting sugar into it! I sometimes put this with my acv or ginger tea or my green/jasmine tea! A no, no, for coffee because it leaves a not-looking-good substance of light foam and the taste together is not the match!

So I might be crazy but I think this tea was actually clearing up my skin. It might be a coincidence but I need it! It tastes great, has a strong enough flavour but nothing overpowering. Add some honey and you’re good to go.
